The Justin Bieber saga just gets weirder and weirder all of the time. New information is coming to light about the recent brawl in the Hamptons alleged to have been started by the pop singer himself. As is often the case, the fight broke out in part over a woman.

Originally, it was reported that early Sunday morning a female fan of Bieber's had approached the performer and began to flirt with him at a nightclub in the Hamptons. When he did not reciprocate those same feelings, a friend of the girl's confronted Bieber, leading to the fight. As it turns out, however, that story may not be entirely true.

"Justin left the club with two waitresses. But the guys on the next table were not happy. One of the waitresses... was flirtatiously wearing a bow tie, which one of the guys on the next table had loaned to her," reports a source for the Daily Mail.

That man who lent the bow tie happened to be Wayne Rennalls, 22, the alleged victim of the parking lot brawl. Determined not to let his bow tie (and perhaps his hopes with the waitress) get away, Rennalls and his friends were in hot pursuit all the way to the parking lot, where Bieber and the waitresses were about to leave.

"As she got into Bieber's SUV, the guys chased her out, saying they wanted the bow tie back. Bieber's security pushed back, and a scuffle started. As Bieber and his team drove away, someone threw a rock at his car. Bieber jumped out of the sun roof and got on the hood of the car, while his security knocked the guy to the floor," the source continued.

When all was said and done, Rennalls was unconscious and bloodied on the pavement, while Bieber went back home with two beautiful cocktail waitresses in tow. At this point, Bieber is not believed to be directly involved in the injury of Rennalls, and police are focusing their investigation more on Bieber's entourage of security guards.

Lawyers for Bieber and his associates so far seem confident that nothing will come of the incident. They state that once the facts are shown, it will in fact be Rennalls who will be seen as the instigator of the altercation. As for Bieber, well, he's taking it all in stride, just as he always does.

"The most recent rumors might be the funniest of all. Where do u get this stuff??? #focusedonreality," tweeted the international pop sensation, following up soon after with another message: "Off to do what I love. Perform and see my fans. Focused on the positive and what is real. South Carolina see u soon. #BelieveTour."
