Electronic Arts may have just discovered who won the World Cup.

The FIFA 14 publisher has revealed who it believes will win based on "the award-winning EA Sports football engine that drives FIFA" games, Polygon noted.

The game ran a simulation of the World Cup and came up with Germany as the ultimate winner.

"EA was able to simulate the 2014 FIFA World Cup and test all 32 teams under the same conditions they will face in the weeks ahead in Brazil," EA said. "It was determined that Germany will defeat Brazil 2-1 (ET) at the Estádio do Maracanã on July 13 to win the country's fourth FIFA World Cup, becoming the first European nation to win the FIFA World Cup on South American soil."

Germany will beat Argentina 2-1 in the quarterfinals, and then it will beat Spain 5-4 in a penalty shootout.

Miroslav Klose will be the man responsible for the World Cup win. During extra time, he will score and give Germany a fourth World Cup title.

In 2013, Oliver Bierhoff, German football chief, said beating Brazil would be quite difficult.

"For us, it is almost impossible to win the tournament. It is a really big mountain (to climb)," he said, according to ESPN FC. "The South American sides are usually more advanced (in their own continent)."

The simulator "accurately predicted that Spain would prevail as the tournament champions" in 2010. Spain was seen as the heavy favorite.

EA predicted more than just the overall winner.

The simulator also has Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior of Brazil is predicted to win the Golden Boot, which is earned for most goals scored. He's predicted to score six goals. Spain's Andrés Iniesta will score the best goal of the tournament against England.
