Youtube has revealed that Stormyzy's infectious single Vossi Bop was the most-watched music video of 2019 in the UK. Latino music is also dominating outside the United Kingdom.

Westminster Bridge that features a cameo from Idris Elba became a viral dance craze in the UK. This is after the announcement of Youtube that Latino music dominates in the U.K. in 2019.

The second most-watched video is from Sam Smith and Normani's Dancing With a Stranger. Meanwhile, the Bad Guy of Billie Eilish came third. The influences of Latino music outperformed another music genre in the contemporary period.

In an article published on BBC, Latino music dominated the top 5 videos outside the United Kingdom. Here are the top 2 Latino music:

  • Con Calma by Daddy Yankee
  • Con Altura by Rosalia, this year's big winner at the Latin Grammy Awards.

This is the third year now that Latino music dominated Youtube's Global Chart. It can be remembered that in 2017, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's Desapacito topped the chart and in 2018 the number 1 spot went to Nio Garcia's Te Bote.

This reflects that Latin America's music is growing rapidly and given importance in the music industry. The revenue of Latin music even increases to 16.8 percent last year and made it as the fastest-growing music in the world in terms of revenue. Moreover, Brazil is the largest contributor to its growth and revenue.

Chairman of Sony Music Latin Iberia Afo Verde said earlier this year that "Without any doubt, there was always huge music consumption in Brazil - it's a country that truly has music at its heart - but, due to copyright infringement, this was never recognized."

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Universal Music Latin America Jesus Lopez added that "I think it has been a sleeping giant for years and years, and the reality is that it's a country with more than 200 million people. And it's a country that loves music."

However, despite the popularity of Latin music and its growing market, it was found out also that piracy is still significant in the market making Latin music with an advertising-support platform to have lesser impacts on Spotify and Apple that generates income through a monthly subscription.

The Spotify and Apple music released their most-streamed music this week. In the chart released it was found out that Latino artists like Daddy Yankee, Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X, and Post Malone were not included in the most streamed music. It is believed that it is because of the alleged accusation in Southern America about buying views on Youtube to boost the profile of the artists.

Meanwhile, more than 41,000 people looked up the song of Joel Corry's sad-banger Sorry just in a day and it broke the record for the most Shazams just in a single day. It came after it was featured in an episode of ITV 2's Love Island on July 24.

The producer said, "My phone went into meltdown when it happened and it's got everyone talking, and helped launch the single up the official charts. I'm just buzzing everyone is loving Sorry!"
