Billie Eilish is just getting started on her career in the music industry. The 18-year old performer made history at the 2020 Grammys as the youngest artist ever to win Album of the Year with her chart-topping debut "When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" The title of being the youngest artist was previously owned by Taylor Swift who won the award in 2010 with her album "Fearless."

Moreover, Eilish is also only the second artist, and the first female artist, in the history of the music industry to have won all four big categories. She won record, album, song of the year, and best new artist all in just one night.

Christopher Cross was the last person who coveted four major awards in Grammys in 1981. However, he released his next album the following year and it did not gain much popularity.

Eilish said when she received the award for Song of the Year for "Bad Guy," "This is my first Grammys and I never thought this would ever happen in my whole life. I grew up watching them. And this is my brother, Finneas [O'Connell], and he's my best friend."

Eilish added, "I feel like I joke around a lot, and I never take anything seriously at these kinds of things, but I genuinely want to say I'm so grateful. I only want to say that I'm grateful, and I'm so honored to be here amongst all of you. I love you to my core. I grew up watching all of you. Thank you to my team, my mom, my dad, my best friends... for keeping me alive to this day."

Eilish won the Best Pop Vocal Album for "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" before the ceremony started. Meanwhile, Finneas O'Connell, Eilish's producer and co-writer on the album, also made history as the youngest recipient of the Producer of the Year award at the age of 22 in the non-classical award.

Eilish and O'Connell had this to say when they took home the Album of the Year, "Thank you to the Recording Academy. Thank you again to our team, our family, to the people that have supported us from the beginning. We didn't write a piece for this. We didn't make an album to win a Grammy. We wrote an album about depression, suicidal thoughts, climate change, and being the bad guy, whatever that means. We stand up here confused and grateful."

The 2020 Grammys night was held at Los Angeles Staples Center where Kobe Bryant spent his 20 years as a professional basketball player. Alicia Keys gave a tribute to the NBA Legend before the awards night started. She said: "We are in the place where Kobe Bryant built and made his career."

The awards night was not only filled with joy but also with sorrow following the death of one of the most famous stars in the world.
