Cardi B posted a video on her social media account sharing knowledge and acceptance of Dwayne Wade's Trans child Zaya.

The issue about the gender of Dwayne Wade's child Zaya started when the couple posted a photo of their family picture during the Miami Pride 2019. It caught the attention of the sports fans including netizens and they tried to weigh in on the child's gender identity.

Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union have been very vocal and supportive of their child's gender identity. In the previous report of Latin Post, it was reported that Dwayne Wade vowed to support his child during his guest appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

There are different studies published about how to support the LGBTQ+ community. They are considered as one of the most targeted groups because they are prone to discrimination and bullying. One of the most important factors that should always be considered to keep them away from these adversities is having support from their parents through acceptance. Through parents' acceptance, support, and guidance they are less likely to experience mental, psychological and physical trauma, and there is also a lesser chance of them being infected with HIV-AIDS.

In the past few days, the issue of Zaya's identity has captured different celebrity news outlets. This also become trending online. One of the celebrities who expressed support over the identity of Dwayne Wade's child is Cardi B.

People did not expect that Cardi B will express her support for Zaya. It can be recalled that the rapper went viral in 2018 after she posted a transphobic meme on her Facebook account. She was even criticized by celebrity trans activists Laverne Cox and Angelica Ross.

However, this time it seems that Cardi B's outlook about LGBTQ+ has changed following the video she posted expressing her support in the trans community. For Cadi B, the most important thing is people let other people be happy and free.

Here are some of the statements from her video:

"Let's not forget that this is a kid. Let's not forget that this kid could be very very sensitive. That's one and, let me tell you something, right? I feel like people are saying that this kid is too young to transition but it's like how old is too young? If you are born thinking that you are a girl in a boy's body, how old do you have to be in order to keep knowing that that's who you are? That's who you are. That's your identity. If that's who you feel that you are, what is the age limit for you to know that that's what you want to be?"

"I seen a documentary before, not really a documentary but a long 18-minute video on YouTube way before this Zion situation about this 5-year-old little girl that at 5 years old she transitioned to be a girl. She knew that that's what she wanted to be because she knew that. She liked to wear dresses. She likes to play with Barbies. And if you're born like that, you're forever going to be like that. Whether the age that you pick it to be, it's your choice."

In another video, Cardi B is calling people to try to be more open and understanding. It seems that Cardi felt that it is not easy to belong in the marginalized group. She also concluded in the video that to be genuine about your identity is something that should not be attacked.
