The epidemic brought by Coronavirus has made everyone panic and run to their nearest pharmacies. 

As the virus that started in China has begun to spread, a lot of American citizens fled from the center of the virus back to the United States and was put under a 14-day quarantine on military bases.

Along with the citizens who fled from the Hubei province of China, passengers of the cruise ship, Diamond Princess, were also subjected to a 14-day quarantine as it has been suspected to have a connection with the COVID-19.

NBS News has reported that the citizens who have recently traveled to China before the news about the virus outbreak voluntarily went under a 14-day quarantine in their homes to discover if they have caught the virus.

People with similar symptoms to respiratory diseases are advised by the CDC to stay at home in the meantime and to avoid going out as the virus be easily spread unknowingly.

The American Red Cross team has advised everyone to keep a supply of food, water, and other essential supplies in case of emergencies. The American Red Cross, along with the CDC, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and other experts have recommended the things and supplies you need to have in case of the coronavirus outbreak would become worse.

They suggested supplying food that is would last up to two weeks. They also recommended dry and canned goods since they are accessible and easy to prepare. 

Alyssa Pike, who works for the International Food Information Council and a registered dietician, stated that dry goods such as cereals, uncooked rice, beans, and others should be something to store in our pantries in case of future emergencies. 

She also said that keeping a supply of canned foods that carry liquid or oil is also very essential since the liquid from these canned foods can be used to cook the dry goods. 

She said that it is also okay to supply food that isn't very essential but would comfort and refresh us because if we are going to neglect these, it might affect our mental health while we are going under home quarantine.

The American Red Cross also suggests everyone to supply at least one gallon of water a day for each member of the household including the pets. 

The Oregonian recommended to purchase and supply water-purification tablets and water filters for each person if the water at home is untreated. 

Experts also encourage everyone to supply hygienic goods to prevent illnesses and infections happening during the home quarantine.

CDC stated that proper and thorough handwashing is the easiest way to keep yourself away from acquiring the coronavirus. It is said to be a better method compared to wearing face masks. 

An expert of infectious-disease, Marguerite Neill, also recommended everyone to supply their prescription medications in advance. 

The American Red Cross also suggested everyone to keep a first-aid kit in case of injuries. They also encouraged everyone to supply medical and over-the-counter products.

The authorities from the Department of Homeland Security advises everyone to keep their medical records from their doctors. 

Lastly, experts encourage everyone not to forget their mental health and that everyone should attempt to maintain healthy and stable mindframe. The best way to do that is through self-education.
