John Apolinar is Mexican-Caucasian blood who was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He grew up playing football and wrestling, and of course, skateboarding. While he was into sports, he was also in love with film and acting and liked to see himself on television.

When he graduated high school, he proceeded to college at Arizona State University, where he also finished his studies. And right after college, he decided to take up some acting class and moved to San Francisco and began training his acting skills under the wings of Art Cohen and Michael Petter at Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles.

But after all of these accomplishments, if he was not acting or making films, then go back to his first love which is skateboarding.

A lot of people do not know that John Apolinar comes from a military family, especially his mother and his other cousins. They all served in several branches of military forces of the United States of America. And growing up in this kind of environment, John admittedly told the press that at some point in his life, he considered going to the military.

Even his older brother asked him why he did not think of going to the military. But he stuck to his passion and his parents are very supportive of it.

John is now a representative for Mexican-American in Stargirl which premiered last Friday on Disney+. This movie is a comedy-drama and is based on a novel Stargirl written by Jerry Spinelli.

The film was directed by - Julia Hart and produced by Kristin Hahn, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lee Stollman, and Jordan Horowitz. And aside from John Apolinar, this movie was starred by Grace Vanderwaal, Graham Verchere, Giancarlo Esposito, Karen Brar, Darby Stanchfield, Maximiliano Hernandez and many more.

The movie is a story of a shy teenager who tries to blend with other teens at Mica High School in Arizona. This shy teen will eventually meet and fall in love with his classmate, the school's "Stargirl" in the person of Susan Caraway. She was named Stargirl for a reason of being colourful and unique.

John plays the role of Wayne in this movie. He is a fresh, fashionable and handsome kid in the school. He had an influence on other students where they tried to copy him - his style and aura without realizing that they were copying him.

They like Wayne so much that they are willing to give up their identity just to at least copy and keep up with Wayne. But they are doing it without realizing it.

It is somehow what high school is all about, Fan-girling to other students, idolizing seniors and trying to blend in with others. Even some actors find this movie relatable to their personal life. John, in an interview, describes the film as charming as many can relate to the movie's setting. But what John adds to the interview is that even if it is as if it was a real-life setup, it needs hard preparation.
