The 53-year-old boxing icon Mike Tyson is now in good condition as he prepares himself for a boxing comeback according to a recently published article.

Mike Tyson Prepares Himself for a Return to the Ring

Mike Tyson became viral recently as he released a video of him hitting the boxing pads showing his strength and power.

Another picture was also posted by his trainer Rafael Cordeiro, MMA Coach, revealing how Tyson managed his time during lockdown to start his training. Now, he weighs 240lb, and 15 years after his retirement, he announced his big comeback in the boxing ring to compete in exhibition bouts.

According to Cordeiro, Tyson remained as the youngest heavyweight champion of all time when he beat Trevor Berbick in 1986. Cordeiro also added that Tyson still has the power and speed he had during his prime.

In an interview with Tyson's trainer, he said: "He hasn't hit mitts for almost ten years. So I didn't expect to see what I saw. I saw a guy with the same speed, same power as guys 21, 22 years old. Like I said before, 53-years-old but when he puts his mind to it, his body inside the ring - he changes."

It was also found that Tyson has been in training with Cordeiro for three straight weeks and working on his cardio, pads, and bag work. However, Cordeiro said that there's a need for six months of training before Tyson can have his exhibition fight again.

Mike Tyson was Offered $1 Million for an Exhibition Fight in Australia

His return in the boxing ring is not what you think it is. It is an exhibition fight or charity exhibition bouts. He has been working and training so hard to be in good shape, and now he received his first invitation from Australia.

Brian Amatruda, Australian boxing promoter, told a news outlet, "The first thing I did was contact [celebrity agent] Max Markson and ask him to offer Tyson $1 million. Max brought him to Australia in 2012. He gets on well with him and his wife, but the main thing is that he got him a visa to get into the country back then, and that's the key."

If the exhibition match happens, his possible foe will be Barry Hall, Paul Gallen, and Sonny Bill Williams. They are former football and rugby players who shifted their careers later in boxing.

Amatruda also explained that since it will be a sensational and historic exhibition fight, it is expected that many will watch the event. He plans to hold the fight at Melbourne Arena, where it can cater to 10,000 fans or at Princess Park, where it can have an audience of up to 30,000.

Amatruda said: "He might be 53 years old, but he's still a huge name, and any of those blokes Hall, Gallen, or Sonny Bill would jump at the chance to get into the ring with him. I'd make it part of a card with a world title fight for Tayla [Harris] on it. It would be enormous. Not just a fight, it would be an event."
