Selena Gomez recently sat down with Puma for an interview, which the latter uploaded on Thursday for the promotion of her newest collection with the brand and talk about her life under lockdown.

Like everyone else, she admitted, she feels unsettled and goes through different emotions at this time. The pop singer also described how she has stayed calm amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

For that reason, she explained she thinks it is essential to keep informed "and be aware of the latest news," though take a few breaks as well, from it since it can be overwhelming.

Gomez suggested, too, listening to music and reading have both been great factors in keeping her calm amidst the COVID-19 crisis.


Quarantining at Her LA Home

After she revealed that she is presently quarantining with a couple of friends and her grandparents at her Los Angeles Home, Gomez shared she has been spending time "re-watching things" from her younger years as it "brings back a nostalgic feeling."

She admitted she, too, has been involved in painting using watercolors, not to mention trying new recipes in the kitchen.

On top of her cooking and re-watching, the pop star has been spending her time too, working on new music. He elaborated that before the issuance of the stay-at-home order, she was already working in the studio.

"I didn't want to lose that feeling of inspiration," Gomez said, said, adding, she is constantly crafting lyrics and ideas down for songs in her journal.

Towards the end of her interview, the singer urged everyone to stay home. She added, "I know you have heard that so many times." However, she explained, it is definitely going to take everyone "sacrificing together" to combat such a killer virus.


A Cooking Show to Look Forward to

Also recently, it was announced that the singer-actress is headlining a cooking show on a "soon-to-launch platform." According to HBO Max, the series consisting of 10 episodes grew out of this recording actress, spending a lot more time in the kitchen amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nevertheless, as to how HBO Max described the show, despite Gomez's many talents, it stays unseen if cooking is part of her abilities.

Gomez, on the other hand, disclosed she has been very vocal about her passion for food, adding, she has been asked countless times in interviews, what she'd do if given another career, she's replied that "it would be fun" if she were a chef.

Though she admitted she does not have any formal training in cooking, while she's home during this pandemic, she's found herself experimenting and cooking more in the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Sarah Aubrey, HBO Max's head of original content said, they are very excited to have Gomez in their first wave of programming on HBO Max.

The official added, they are looking forward to watching adventures in the kitchen too, as she, like a lot of people currently under quarantine, has been trying to enhance her cooking skills.
