President Donald Trump announced that he and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19. The announcement led to immediate questions of who else around the White House tested positive or negative for the virus.

On early Friday, the announcement of the President that he and First Lady Melania Trump raised concerns for the other officials in the administration, as per Fox News. Republicans and Democrats have been tested and are the list of those who tested positive aside from the President:

  • First lady Melania Trump
  •  Senior White House adviser Hope Hicks
  •  Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien
  • Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel
  • Former adviser Kellyanne Conway
  • Former N.J. Gov. Chris Christie
  • Senator Mike Lee, R-Utah.
  • Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wis.
  • Senator Thom Tillis, R-N.C.

Meanwhile, these are the administration's officials who have been relieved after results showed that they are negative for the coronavirus:

Minnesota Representatives Jim Hagedorn, Jim Hagedorn, and Pete Stauber, also tested negative. They are the one who flew with President Trump on Air Force One. Besides, Trump's former deputy campaign manager David Bossie tested negative after he had close contact with Chris Christie at the Rose Garden ceremony.

While on air on Saturday morning, a spokesperson from Senator Rick Scott's office clarifies that he has tested negative for the virus, as per Fox News.

A number of those who attended the Rose Garden event last week for the President's announcement of Barrett as his choice to fill the Supreme Court vacancy underwent tests for COVID-19 separately.

The event raised concerns as it was mostly outside but part of which have been held indoors. The event could have been a "super spreader." Out of those attendees and aside from President Trump and the First Lady, those who tested positive are:

  • White House adviser Hope Hicks
  • NJ Gov. Chris Christie
  • Senator Mike Lee
  • Former adviser Kellyanne Conway

Officials who are also in the event which tested negative include:

  • Amy Coney Barrett
  • Vice President Mike Pence
  • Second Lady Karen Pence
  • HHS Secretary Alex Azar
  • Atty. General William Barr

According to The Guardian, Trump is spending the weekend at a military hospital near Washington. The mood in the White House was said to be one of panic in the absence of President Trump, with growing concerns over the spread of the virus within the White House and if it could disrupt the function of the government.
