Katrina Pierson, Trump 2020 senior adviser, posted a tweet on Tuesday afternoon and thanked the actor and hip-hop veteran for his willingness to work with the Trump administration regarding the "Platinum Plan."

The plan is a $500 billion package aimed at helping Black people by creating three million new jobs and improving access to better education and job opportunities, as per a Complex report.

It will also push for criminal justice reform, designate June 10 as a national holiday, and reduce health care costs.

Diante Johnson, founder and president of the Black Conservative Federation (BCF), shared a screenshot of Pierson's post on his Twitter and said: "So @icecube has officially given the Trump campaign permission to reveal that he has been helping us develop President Trump's groundbreaking black Trump platform: The Platinum Plan!"

Ice Cube responded and said he tried to work with Republican and Democratic politicians on Contract With Black America (CWBA). He put out and introduced the CWBA, a 13-point document, in July in the wake of nationwide Black Lives Matter protests.

The CWBA is his plan for the country to address systemic issues facing the Black communities.
Ice Cube admitted that both Republicans and Democrats contacted him. However, the Democrats told him that they would address the CWBA after the November poll.

He said the Trump campaign, on the other hand, made "some adjustments to their plan after talking to us about the CWBA." But for many, Ice Cube's justification for working with the Trump administration was still not good enough.

According to ABC News, the contract asks all politicians asking for a vote from Black Americans to support the plan, demand an open debate and a fair vote within the first 100 days of the 117th Congress in 2021 on the several proposals to be codified in specific bills. Ice Cube has consulted with policy experts about the CWBA.

After the rapper faced criticism for speaking to Trump's reelection campaign team, he clarified a few things with Big Boy. The two talked about what the contract states and how both parties responded to it. Ice Cube also briefly tackled his thoughts.

"We're talking to both sides. It's a situation that's developing. We got to wait and see what they say," Cube told Big Boy at the 21:00 mark of the interview. He added that they would talk more with both sides in the coming weeks and try to make a deal on what they can do with the contract.

"As I said, getting out of the situation that we are in is a bipartisan issue. Both sides see that something needs to be done. With that, we need both sides working together to do something," Ice Cube noted.

Several critics also pointed to the rapper's criticism of Eazy-E, the late N.W.A. member, for attending a White House fundraising event for former President George Bush.
