Larry Kudlow, President Donald Trump's top economic adviser, said Friday he is confident that another stimulus package could be reached before the election.

Trump and his administration have always been looking for ways to provide another stimulus package to millions of Americans. Trump wanted to sign and deliver the relief package before the election to make sure that millions will have the financial aid they need amid the pandemic. 

On Friday, Kudlow asserted that the White House could convince enough number of Republicans to back up the new stimulus proposal.

In a recently published article in The Hill, Kudlow noted that Trump wants a deal, adding that Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin continues to negotiate with Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who also wants to strike the deal. 

Kudlow also asserted his confidence that the administration could convince enough Republican lawmakers in both chambers to support the $1.8 trillion stimulus package. Kudlow made the statement after Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell expressed his doubts over a larger stimulus package.

Trump has already expressed his willingness to raise the amount to more than $2.2 trillion. McConnell said he is doubtful if he can sell the said amount to his colleagues in the Senate.

Recently, the President, through a post on his official social media account, urged Pelosi to approve the offered stimulus because he will lobby the said amount to McConnell and other Republican Senators. Trump added that he would sign it immediately. 

The White House offers $1.8 trillion, and it just fell short of around $400 billion to Pelosi's demand of $2.2 trillion to seal the deal. Trump has already said that he can sign and approve a stimulus bill more than the amount the Republicans and Democrats can offer. 

There is still a chance that the stimulus package will be approved before the election since both parties want to send direct stimulus checks, continue the unemployment payments, add funding for the PPP loans, and more. They just need to deal with some of their disagreements. 

Some of their disagreements have already been addressed. Pelosi's camp first asked to increase the state and federal funding, which later on the White House resolved. Now, Pelosi is asking to include in the new bill the massive COVID-19 testing, which Trump also approved. 

While Mnuchin and Pelosi continue to talk and hopefully will seal a new stimulus deal, McConnell will introduce a skinny bill next week that includes stimulus checks. The White House is also preparing to release the unspent budget under CARES Act if the stimulus negotiation will again collapse.

The probability or chance that a new stimulus bill will be signed into law is big, especially that Pelosi received backlash from her Democratic colleagues. Several members of her party expressed their disappointments right after she rejected the $1.8 trillion, which could help millions of Americans across the country.
