In the wake of Chrissy Teigen and Michael Costello's feud allegation, Leona Lewis spoke out and sided with the "Cravings" founder, saying that the designer made her feel "deeply" hurt in 2014.

The "Bleeding Love" singer took her side to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, a day after Costelo accused Teigen of bullying him that same year.

Leona Lewis Blasts Michael Costello, Citing 2014 Experience

Lewis' recalled the moment she worked with Costello when she was asked to participate in a fashion show to raise money for a charity. The singer said that she flew all the way to New York and was "honored" to work with the style expert because she adored his dresses.

"I was made to feel very awkward and uncomfortable as the dress was a sample size and he/his team clearly did not want to alter it to fit me," said Lewis, describing what she felt when she went to her fitting although she was told to that they would make the dress "work for her." Surprisingly, on the next fitting, Michael Costello did not show up to the singer, which happened a night before the show.

"I had to sit in the audience and was asked by the press how why I didn't walk in the show. I remember having to come up with excuses as I was so humiliated by it all," said the "Better in Time" singer. She added that she suffered professionally and personally because the event made her look like she was difficult, and she pulled out.

E Online reported that Michael Costello responded to the singer's story. Costello expressed his apology for the 2014 incident, asking Leona Lewis if they can "figure out what got lost in translation with the dress" that she wore. The singer has not yet responded to the designer, but Lewis expressed her delight about Costelo catering his designs to all sizes of women.

Apart from her fashion show experience in 2014, Leona Lewis also defended Chrissy Teigen on the allegations the model is facing.

"We all make mistakes, I know I have, but at this time, I feel that when people apologize (Chrissy) and show sincere remorse and rehabilitation for their actions, we should embrace them, and not try to kick them when they're down," said the singer.

Chrissy Teigen and Michael Costello Feud: Costello's Mother Speaks Out on the Bullying Issue

In an interview with Fox, Costello's mother, Nancy Costello, said that the bullying issue broke her heart.

"The damage is done. She never knew that Michael would post those text messages," said Nancy Costello. "We don't know what Chrissy Teigen's problem is. When I saw this yesterday [Costello's suicidal thoughts], I was terrified," said the designer's mother.

It can be remembered that Michael Costello on Monday claimed that the drama between him and Teigen began years ago over a social media misunderstanding.

Chrissy Teigen has apologized recently to all the people she has hurt, but she failed to mention Michael Costello. Because of this, the designer's mother demanded the Cravings founder issue a new one.
