Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had spoken about how they felt after the reality star was declared legally single on Wednesday.

Speaking to E! News, Kanye's attorney Samantha Spector said the rapper was always in support of the divorce. She noted that Kanye's problems with the divorce were only procedural and wanted Kim to satisfy "the procedural requirements to protect rights under the California law."

Following the judge's decision to terminate Kim's marital status before any finalization of their divorce, Spector said Kanye will "focus his entire attention on their children."

Meanwhile, a source close to the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star told E! News that Kim is "feeling a huge sense of relief" after being declared legally single.

"She is very happy and feels she is one step closer to reclaiming her independence and being able to move on in her life," the insider noted.

The source added that Kim wished the "rest of the divorce process would be amicable" and that she and Kanye would be able to get through it "peacefully." The insider said Kim "only wishes the best" for her ex-husband.

Kim scored a victory in her divorce proceedings with Kanye as she was declared legally single on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran granted the reality star's request to be declared legally single. Kim has requested to be declared legally single in December, but Kanye objected to his ex-wife's request last month.

The rapper, who has legally changed his name to Ye, argued that it could create "a risk of adverse consequences" and "creates barriers to obtaining evidence" if one of them decides to remarry before the case is closed.

Through a bifurcation proceeding, the judge approved Kim's request to end the marriage and change in marital status while other issues were being addressed. Kim's maiden name was also restored.

Although Kim was declared legally single, other issues still prevail, such as having a formal arrangement on child custody timing.

The pre-nuptial agreement also reportedly had not yet been accepted as official evidence. According to reports, these issues will be dealt with at a possible trial and hearings in the future.

Kim Kardashian's legal win marks the end of her third marriage. Kim was previously married to basketball player Kris Humphries and music producer Damon Thomas.

Kim Kardashian then liked the filmmaker's tweet. It reportedly appeared on the SKIMS founder's "likes" feed for all of her millions of Twitter followers to see.

Kanye West has already attacked Pete in a series of social media posts amid the comedian's romance with his estranged wife. Because of this, Kim earlier contacted Kanye over his actions.

In a deleted post, Kanye shared screenshots of messages sent to him by Kim, claiming that the rapper was "creating a dangerous and scary environment" for Pete. The reality star also said that it would be Kanye's fault if someone hurt Pete.

"There are dangerous people out there, and this is scary, and it doesn't have to be," Kim noted.

The rapper then answered Kim Kardashian, saying "he will do everything" to protect their family, and he will also make sure that nothing will happen to Pete, whom he called "Skete."
