NFL wide receiver, Davante Adams, has ended his journey with the Packers, because of the pay, and Raiders' quarterback Derek Carr.

According to NFL Network, the Raiders and Adams agreed to terms on a five-year contract, amounting to $141.25 million or $28.5 million per year, per Clutch Points.

The news of Adam's contract with the Raiders came after reports surfaced that the wide receiver and Packers did not come to a close in their negotiations, according to Sporting News. Per NFL rules, stipulate players who receive the franchise can be paid 120 percent of their salary from the previous year.

This means that from $16.79 million, his 2022 salary could be $20.145 million.

However, money was not the main issue why Adams decided to leave the Packers.

According to sources, the Packers are willing to pay Adams as much as the amount the Raiders offered him, per Clutch Points.

The source then revealed that the "ultimate" reason why Adams transferred to Raiders was that he wanted to play with the team's quarterback, Derek Carr. The said player was reportedly one of his best pals and they go way back during their college days in Fresno State.

According to reports, Carr had been urging Adams to transfer to Raiders since last season.
