World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Big E has escaped death after he sustained a neck injury during a recent match.

Big E, whose real name is Ettore Ewen, revealed on Twitter on Tuesday that he had a "C1 fracture" following his match at a WWE SmackDown event in Alabama.

"Had my first doctor's appointment and learning (because of the C1 fracture) I narrowly escaped a stroke, paralysis or death is very sobering," the WWE star said.

Big E added that "life feels even more precious and valuable now."

Last week, the WWE superstar shared a short video clip on his Instagram to update his 1.1 million followers on his condition.

In the video, Big E, who was wearing a "Street Fighter matching outfit," can be seen walking with a neck brace around "his neighborhood."

The WWE superstar then said: "Life is good. Breath in my lungs... My neck might be broken, but my heart, it's, it's still in there."

Big E also filmed himself while he was in the hospital. Wearing a neck brace, he said he could move all his fingers and was feeling fine at that time, TMZ reported.

He also said that the doctors told him that his neck was broken. Big E also thanked his fans in the video for supporting him following the accident.

"I can't thank all of you beautiful people enough for all of your concern and your messages, it's very heartwarming," Big E noted.

WWE Superstar Big E's Neck Injury

Big E sustained his neck injury during his match against rival WWE star Ridge Holland on March 11.

The Daily Mail reported that a video of the match showed that Holland picked up Big E and attempted a move called "belly-to-belly suplex." During the failed stunt, Big E was thrown on the ground by Holland and landed on his head.

The WWE superstar was then carried out of the venue on a stretcher and brought to a nearby hospital.

AEW Star Comments on WWE Superstar Big E's Accident

A day before Big E opened up about his first doctor visit following his accident, All Elite Wrestling's (AEW) Powerhouse Hobbs sent a message to the WWE superstar, Wrestletalk reported.

"He [Big E] knows how I feel about him. I wish him a speedy recovery. I'm gonna keep texting you and blowing you up as I do. If you need anything, call me. I want to see you get back in this ring, man. So take your time, get healthy, and do what you do, brother," Hobbs said while speaking on the Superstar Crossover Podcast.

Hobbs also shared that Big E always sits with him whenever he has a match, and they "break down stuff."

Powerhouse Hobbs was not the only wrestler who shared a message for Big E. King Ricochet tweeted that the WWE superstar will be stronger after this accident.
