Ellen DeGeneres could not hold back her tears in the final episode of her famous talk show, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

According to the Daily Mail, a newly-released clip from the show's final episode showed the 64-year-old comedian emerging from behind a screen to a cheering crowd, as she has always done in the past 19 seasons.

But the difference from the last episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" was that Ellen was overwhelmed with her emotions as she stepped toward the audience.

Ellen's wife, Portia de Rossi, and brother Vance DeGeneres were reportedly sitting in the front row as Ellen struggled to hold back her tears as she stepped toward the audience.

The TV veteran then placed her hand on her heart and said "thank you" to her audience. Portia was also seen becoming teary-eyed. For the show's final episode that will air on Thursday, May 26, Ellen will be joined by Jennifer Aniston, Billie Eilish, and P!nk.

The "Friends" star was the first guest on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" back in 2003, and this final episode marks Jennifer's 20th appearance.

Ellen DeGeneres Opens Up About Ending 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'

The famous talk show host has opened up about what she feels and her thoughts about the end of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" after running for 19 years.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ellen DeGeneres shared that she felt like she was "simply at the beginning of another summer break."

The talk show host also spoke about how emotional she was about ending the show. Ellen said she was more emotional in the last couple of months than in the last week or two.

"There was a time a couple of months out where I was crying every day. I was really emotional, even though it was my choice, and it's the right choice. I knew it was time to end this chapter and to do something different," Ellen told the outlet.

She also opened up about how she felt with her final guests, who poured their emotions as the show was about to end.

"It was very flattering because it meant that they really enjoyed themselves on my show, and that was always my intention. And so for people like Zac Efron to get emotional - I mean, he really teared up, but there are so many people who grew up on the show, and so that [response] was very flattering," Ellen said.

When asked if she regrets her decision to wrap up her show, the TV veteran confidently said "no."

"It's for sure the right time... it's definitely time to stop. And the producers, we'll all stay in touch," Ellen noted.

Bruno Mars Surprises Ellen DeGeneres With Farewell Gifts

Bruno Mars was among the celebrities who stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for the show's second-to-last episode on Wednesday.

The "Silk Sonic" singer, who appeared in a tan suit and orange-lensed sunglasses, reminisced on all the moments they had together on the show.

According to Billboard, Bruno Mars showed up to the set and gave Ellen a glass of piña colada and later a picture of himself as a parting gift. The TV veteran then thanked the singer for appearing on her show.

"I had to show up and give my praises to you Ellen. It's amazing what we've done over the years, and I love you and I want to you to know... I appreciate every time you allowed me and my band to perform on this stage. Thank you so much," Bruno Mars replied.

Ellen and Bruno Mars then took a trip down memory lane as they looked back at the moments when the singer appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." Bruno Mars jokingly made an edited video of some of his moments with Ellen, which also featured zoomed-in shots of his face.

The news about the talk show ending had circulated in May last year, following Ellen's toxic workplace scandal that resulted in three top producers getting fired.

Ellen DeGeneres confirmed the news herself shortly afterward. The talk show host pretaped her final week of shows in late April.
