Liverpool Clubs Demands Probe on Fans Sprayed With Tear Gas

According to reports, the frustrations of the Liverpool fans occurred when ticketing issues left thousands of people queued outside the stadium.

Reports claimed that the finals were delayed for at least 36 minutes, and fans struggled to gain entry to the venue.

The Liverpool club demanded an investigation on reports that some of their supporters experienced being sprayed with tear gas pepper when they were held outside the venue of the match.

UEFA claimed that the long queues of supporters were caused by fans trying to enter the Stade de France with tickets that did not work on their turnstiles.

Footage online showed people climbing over barriers as the crowds built up. Reports claimed that police carrying shields and riot gear had moved into the area shortly after 8 p.m. on the day of the finals.

"The rapid intervention of the police allowed the return to calm and the evacuation of the disturbers outside the forecourt of the Stade de France... The dispersal of the spectators takes place without difficulty. No major incident was observed in the two fan zones," authorities stated
