After 23 seasons in the NFL, Tom Brady announced he is retiring for good. Shortly after he made this announcement, his ex-wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Gisele commented on Brady's post announcing his retirement and said, "Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life."

The comment included a photo of them as a family, together with their children, according to Fox News.

The divorce between the power couple stemmed from the fact that Tom Brady came out of retirement even after promising Gisele he would retire for good and focus on their family. When Brady announced that he was returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers only a few days after retiring, trouble started brewing in the family as Gisele reportedly flew to Costa Rica in a rage after an "epic fight" between the two.

A few months later, they finally divorced, with analysts saying that Brady's desire to play again was the cause.

Retirement Announcement a Win for Tom Brady

When he came out of retirement, Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into the playoffs, but he failed to get through the next round after getting eliminated by the Dallas Cowboys. Coming out of retirement also cost him his marriage with Gisele Bundchen.

Now, however, CBS Sports notes that the biggest winner after he announced his retirement is Tom Brady himself. The 7-time Super Bowl champion pushed back the tears during his announcement video, as he clearly did not want to retire. However, this might be better for him overall as he retires not having a tarnished legacy.

Will Fox Sports Be Next for Tom Brady?

Should he retire, Tom Brady has a deal with Fox Sports that he would work for them should he retire for good. Now that he is, questions are now floating around regarding how exactly.

With the Super Bowl coming up, Tom Brady might finally be working with the network as his post-retirement job. However, a source within the network spoke to Yahoo! Sports and told the outlet that there was still no indication that he might be working the Super Bowl as a Fox Sports commentator.

Brady's exact role within the network is still unknown, it was noted that somebody has to take a back seat in the booth now that Tom Brady will be joining them.

As for his other future endeavors, Brady would be eligible for induction into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2028. He is expected to be inducted in his first year given his stellar record as a player.
