Joan Rivers is a woman of many titles. She's a TV personality, a fashion critic, a comedian, the face of controversy, an author, and an actress.

But did you know that she's also an ordained minister?

Well, apparently so.

Rivers displayed her impressive multi-tasking skill set this week by conducting a book signing all while officiating a gay marriage at the same time.

The Daily Mail reports that on Monday at a Barnes & Noble bookstore in New York City, the 81-year-old comedienne officiated a gay marriage during a book signing for her new book, "Diary of a Mad Diva."

So was the wedding ceremony planned?

Well, perhaps for the two men getting married it was. But for Joan, this was reportedly a complete surprise.

During her book signing, her fans Jed Ryan and Joe Aiello courageously stood in line and asked Rivers to marry them, and that she did.

Following the impromptu marriage, Jed reportedly told "Entertainment Tonight" that he and his now husband Jed had been reading Rivers' book and saw that she mentioned being an ordained minister.

So naturally, Jed and Joe decided to test their luck being that they are big fans of Joan Rivers.

Joe told "ET," "And I jokingly asked [Jed], 'Do you think it's true? Maybe she'll marry us.' And he goes, 'Ask her.' So I did.

Joe continued, "I don't think he really thought I would, and neither one of us thought she'd say yes!"

Joe and Jed have been reportedly dating for three years. Immediately following their request, Rivers brought the couple onto the Barnes & Noble stage in front of her four hundred fans and began reciting marital vows.

"The power that is granted to me as an ordained minister of New York City, I now pronounce you, and it's wonderful because you're my second marriage, husband and husband," Joan said to the happy couple.

After the impromptu ceremony, Joan took to Twitter to express her joy over ordaining her second marriage.

"Performed a gay wedding at my book signing of 'Diary of a Mad Diva.' How great was that?!?" she tweeted, along with a photo showing her placing her hand over the hands of Joe and Jed.
