Despite winning Iowa by a large margin, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump returned to New York City for his latest rape case filed by E, Jean Carroll, and he did not seem happy as he was seen glowering menacingly as both sides were selecting the jury for the case.

The Associated Press reported that "He glared and scowled at times as the jury was being picked." However, when Judge Lewis A. Kaplan asked if anyone felt Trump had been treated unfairly by the court system, he raised his hand, only to draw laughter from some people inside the courtroom.

While Trump was getting laughed at in court, Judge Kaplan then retorted, "We know where you stand." The former president was seen to be in a foul mood soon after.

The judge then told would-be jurors that an earlier jury had already decided that Donald Trump was liable for sexually abusing Elle Magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll in the 1990s. This made Trump shake his head in disgust before leaving the courtroom just before opening statements were made.

Trump reportedly left to continue campaigning in New Hampshire, just a day after his big win in Iowa. As he was leaving, Carroll's attorney accused him of using "the world's biggest microphone" to destroy her client's reputation and turn his supporters against her.

This led the former president's lawyers to argue that Carroll has never been more famous and that she is blaming him for "a few mean tweets from Twitter trolls."

However, Trump's attacks on Carroll have already been ruled as defamatory. In the previous case, it was already established that he sexually assaulted her and that case has established that he did indeed defame her after leaving the White House.

E. Jean Carroll Wants Donald Trump To Pay Dearly During Latest Rape Trial

As the trial continued after the former president left, an attorney for E, Jean Carroll told the federal jury that "self-proclaimed billionaire" Donald Trump needs to "pay dearly" for defaming her for denying that he sexually assaulted her during the 1990s.

"It's time to make him stop. It's time to make him pay dearly for what he's done," added E. Jean Carroll attorney Shawn Crowley.

The jurors will remain anonymous given Trump's penchant for blaming others for his legal woes. They will reportedly be driven to and from the courthouse from an undisclosed location for their safety.

New York Appeals Court Denies Donald Trump Gag Order Appeal

Fresh off from winning Iowa, Donald Trump lost in court again, this time in the New York State Court of Appeals over his New York fraud case gag order. It threw out Trump's challenge to the gag order against him because it involved no "substantial constitutional question."

The gag order was issued against Trump and it barred him from attacking the staff of the judge overseeing the case. The former president previously accused a clerk for Judge Arthur Engoron of being a Democratic operative and the mistress of Senate President Chuck Schumer without any evidence. The clerk had been subjected to death threats since Trump made those claims.
