In a night of musical celebration and historic achievements, Karol G emerged as a trailblazer at the 2024 Grammys, solidifying her position as a leading Latina in the music industry, according to Harpers Bazaar.

The Colombian superstar made history by becoming the first woman to win Best Musica Urbana Album for her 2023 hit, "Mañana Será Bonito."

Dressed in a stunning silver gown with pink hair, the "Oki Doki" singer expressed her gratitude to fans, her team, and her home country, Medellín, Colombia, for their unwavering support.

"Hi, my name is Karol G, and I am from Medellín, Colombia," she began her speech.

"This is my first time at the Grammys, and this is my first time holding my own Grammy. I'm super happy, I'm super nervous, and I'm super excited to be in front of so many legends that I admire and respect. My album has given me the best memories of my whole life. My fans give me motivation and inspiration ... I promise to give you my best always! I hope this is the first of so many," she added.

Karol G, overwhelmed with joy, delivered a heartfelt speech during which she acknowledged the legends in the room and promised to continue delivering her best to her fans.

Karol G's victory marked her as only the second artist ever to claim the award for Best Música Urbana Album since its inception two years ago.

Previously, Puerto Rican sensation Bad Bunny had dominated the category, winning in both 2022 and 2023.
