It seems that Donald Trump left the White House a very angry man. However, this was not because his plot to overthrow the 2020 elections failed but because of rapper Snoop Dogg. The former president was heard swearing angrily while reversing some of his decisions during his final hours in office.

Rolling Stone released a new report which stated that Trump was angry with comments the rapper made against him, and on the evening of January 18, 2021, Trump was heard saying, "Well, f*** him," during the closing days of his term, with the issue weighing heavily on the then-president, instead of the fact that he was getting replaced by Biden during that time.

The magazine pointed out that Snoop Dogg "secretly worked to influence the White House on executive clemency for federal prisoners." This included his close friend and Death Row Records figure, Michael "Harry-O" Harris. However, the rapper's old insults against Trump resurfaced and made the then-president mad for days.

The report also stated that those in and out of the White House had a "frenzied effort" to try and convince Donald Trump that "Snoop Dogg wasn't, in fact, mad at him anymore." It also stated that the Trump aides' efforts to calm the then-president down "lasted almost literally until the final minute of the presidency."

This was happening as Snoop Dogg was trying to secure the freedom of his friend, and failure to pacify the then-president "would have cost the freedom of one of the co-founders of the legendary hip-hop record label Death Row Records," who was already in prison for over three decades during that time.

The magazine stated that it had interviews with former Trump administration and campaign officials regarding the incident that showed that the former president had a "volcanic desire for retribution and vindictiveness," as well as a "chronic obsession with celebrities and A-list gossip."

Donald Trump Relented After Aides Showed Him Video of Snoop Dogg Praising Him

The particular quote from Snoop Dogg that got Trump riled up was when the rapper called him a racist, saying, "If you like that n***a, you motherf**king racist."

Trump was angry for days, though he finally relented after aides showed the then-president some footage that showed Snoop Dogg complimenting him. This video reportedly came from a documentary chronicling Harris' attempt to gain clemency. This led Trump, who previously took Harris' name off the list of pardons, to add the Death Row Records producer back, according to Salon.

Snoop Digg Says He Has Nothing But Love for Donald Trump

Trump and Snoop Dogg feuded during the Trump presidency, though the rapper softened on the then-president because of the Harris clemency. However, Snoop Dogg did slam Trump in various ways in his single "MACA (Make America Crip Again)."

Recently, Snoop Dogg raised eyebrows when he publicly complimented the former president again. "I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump," he said in a recent interview.
