Chayanne's Son Joins New 'Exatlón Estados Unidos' Season as Telemundo Reveals Cast of Newcomers and Well-Known Veterans
The new lineup includes Olympians, professional athletes, fitness creators, and multi-sport competitors representing Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.

MIAMI — Telemundo has officially announced the 12 new competitors joining the tenth season of Exatlón Estados Unidos, and one name already has social media buzzing. Lorenzo Figueroa, the eldest son of global music superstar Chayanne, will compete alongside elite athletes, Olympians, and influencers when the hit reality sports competition returns Tuesday, December 2 at 7pm/6c. The season, hosted by Frederik Oldenburg, promises high-stakes eliminations, emotional storytelling, and never-before-seen challenges across the show's signature extreme obstacle courses.
With this new roster, Exatlón Estados Unidos now brings together 20 competitors split into Red and Blue teams as they battle for endurance, agility, and speed. At the end of the season, one man and one woman will claim the coveted title and walk away with a $200,000 cash prize each. The milestone season marks a decade of the franchise in the U.S., making it the longest-running Spanish-language sports reality show in the country.
Figueroa enters the arena as one of the most anticipated contestants. Born in Miami, he is a basketball enthusiast who played at the college level before launching his own clothing brand. A longtime fan of the series, he says he is ready to step out of his comfort zone and face a new level of physical and mental pressure.
He's not alone. The new lineup includes Olympians, professional athletes, fitness creators, and multi-sport competitors representing Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Among them is Olympic medalist Óscar Muñoz of Colombia, who made history with a bronze medal in Taekwondo at the London 2012 Olympics. Also joining is Mexican soccer star José Juan "Gallito" Vázquez, who played in the 2014 World Cup and won multiple Liga MX championships.

The women's side of the competition brings equal firepower. Notable names include Yulisa Acevedo, MVP of Kings League Mexico; Edrei Salas, a standout CONADEIP basketball player; Alejandra Maldonado, a former heptathlon specialist with national records; and Kelly Ríos, a Colombian lawyer-turned-athlete recognized as "Influencer Athlete of the Year" at the 2023 Instafest Awards.
Influencer and model Matías Ochoa also joins the season after gaining national attention on Top Chef VIP, along with elite climber Frank "Franz" Weber, Venezuelan swimmer María Antonieta Rodríguez, Puerto Rican baseball pro Dan Pastrana, and multi-discipline Colombian athlete Johanna Gómez, known as "La Flaca."
These 12 new faces will compete against returning franchise legends announced earlier this month, including Anisa Guajardo, Denisse Novoa, Emmanuel Jáquez, Fernando Lozada, Kelvin Rentería, Polo Monárrez, Viviana Michel, and Wilmarie Negrón. Their presence guarantees one of the most competitive seasons the show has seen.

Since launching, Exatlón Estados Unidos has featured more than 200 competitors and awarded more than $6 million in combined prizes, establishing itself as one of Telemundo's most successful franchises. Season 10 continues under AcunMedya with executive production by Francisco "Cisco" Suárez and Luciano Cardinali.
With a refreshed cast, record prize money, and an arena built for thrill-level escalation, fans are already calling this the show's most unpredictable season yet.
