New York Yankees rookie pitcher Masahiro Tanaka has been placed on the 15 day disabled list.

Tanaka led all of Major League Baseball in wins, so this is a devastating blow for a team that is already in third place in the American League East. Tanaka has been fantastic this season with a 2.51 ERA, 12 wins, 135 strikeouts, and just 19 walks. Despite Tanaka's dominance this season thus far, he has shown signs of weakness lately, which has many believing he was pitching with pain.

Regardless, the Yankees still need to find more pitching help. Here are five possible options.

Cliff Lee

Lee has been on the Yankees wish list for years now. He's used to playing in the AL, as he played for the Cleveland Indians for eight long seasons. Lee is 35 years old and the Philadelphia Phillies are in last place in the National League East. This trade could be a win-win for everyone because the Phillies could get a lot of money and value, while the Yankees get Lee. Lee could also rejuvenate his career with the Pinstripes.

David Price

Can you imagine Price with the Yankees? In a recent interview with The New York Post, Price said "it is a reality, a possibility." The Rays have been very disappointing this season and are just 42-52 through their first 94 games. Price hasn't been playing his best baseball this year, so maybe the Rays could get rid of a pitcher for high value before his worth decreases. For the Yankees, this could be a great trade. But, would the Rays be willing to trade within the division?

Cole Hamels

If the Yankees can't trade for Lee, there are other options in Philadelphia. Hamels is having one of his best seasons this year, but is just 3-5. The Phillies aren't getting full value of his services, so trading him away to the American League may just be the best option in order to build for the future. Hamels has been in numerous trade talks with various teams throughout baseball, so if the Yankees want him, they better hurry.

Kevin Correia

This could be a good investment for the Yankees. Correia is set to make just $5.5 million the rest of this year and next year he becomes a free agent. The Minnesota Twins are in last place in the American League Central, so they wouldn't lose anything by trading away Correia. Correia isn't the most efficient pitcher, but he has good strikeout abilities. The Yankees could trade for him and re-sign him after the season if they like him

John Danks

If the Yankees get extremely desperate in their quest for a new pitcher, then they might want to give the Chicago White Sox a call. He's not the big sexy pickup or an elite franchise pitcher, but he is experienced. Danks has been in the Majors since 2007 and can offer relief to the Yankees rotation. Adding another left handed pitcher has its advantages.

The MLB trade deadline is July 31.
