Although Lindsay Lohan has developed a reputation for being tardy, the 28-year-old actress is vowing to remain punctual and professional for her West End debut in David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow."

Last week, Star Magazine reported that Lohan was up to her old tricks and already missing "Speed-the-Plow" rehearsals.

"The cast is already really annoyed," said an insider for Star Magazine, according to Radar Online. "The director told her that, basically, it's a one-strike deal; if she misses one more practice or comes in late again, she's done."

However, it was later revealed that the Star Magazine report was simply just a rumor. BroadwayWorld.com later reported that "Speed-the-Plow" rehearsals have not even started yet.

But still, the question that remains is will Lohan keep things professional once rehearsals and performances actually begin?

Her answer: absolutely.

During an interview with BBC News, Lohan explained that missing rehearsals is "not going to happen."

"That's not on the cards. It's not," she said. "I'm at a place in my life where I like the commitment. I'm looking forward to that part of it."

Lohan also admitted that she hopes her "Speed-the-Plow" performance will help rehabilitate her dwindling career.

"I want to be known for my talents and my work that I create, rather than a tabloid sensation. However long it does take, I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to work for it," she revealed.

And if things actually do go well for Lohan during her West End debut, her move to London may end up being permanent.

Unlike the U.S., London is not as obsessed with celebrity gossip, Lohan explained to BBC.

And after being bombarded by paparazzi all her life, Lohan admits that it's "a nice feeling" not having to deal with that in London.

"I've noticed here, watching the news, you guys have such a different outlook. In the US starting at 5pm it's TMZ, it's all these shows talking about people's personal lives and here I don't notice any of that -- it's news and politics and music," she revealed.

"So it's nice to be able to turn on the TV and not everything is about gossip. That's a really nice feeling."
