"The Avengers: Age Of Ultron," "Orphan Black" and its "Clone Club," and "Star Wars" were among the many draws to this years Comic-Con held in San Diego last weekend.

Some comic-book fans, science-fiction aficionados and cosplayers got a glimpse of Robert Downey Jr., Freddie Prinze Jr., and maybe Peter Jackson and Daniel Radcliffe, just to name a few, who were among the many celebrities that graced the four-day event that ran from July 24-27. But there are five things that happened at the fan-frenzied event that some of you knew, did not know, and did not want to know.

What you did know: No. 1, some of the cast of "The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" appeared, including Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson. They brought with them an artistic rendering of the upcoming film. It was not just one but three "puzzle posters," CinemaBlend reported.

The dominant images in all three of the posters was a sea of robots that seem to be attacking all of the Avengers at once. In one poster, the Hulk is overwhelmed by robots, similarly in another poster the mighty Thor is also overwhelmed. And in the third poster, Captain America, Black Widow, Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton, Iron-Man, and the newest members QuickSilver and the Scarlet Witch are overpowered by a deluge of robots.

Suffice it to say, the audience was memorized.

No. 2, the announcement of the latest crossover comic books: It will be the classic "The Planet of the Apes" paired with the classic "Star Trek." The California based comics publishers IDW and Boom! Studios will be releasing the crossover concept, Newsarama reported.

The miniseries will be titled "Star Trek/Planet of the Apes: The Primate Directive." Fans of the "Apes" and "Star Trek" will be seeing James T. Kirk and the U.S.S. Enterprise crew interacting with Taylor, Nova and the rest of the original cast of "Planet of the Apes."

The premise of the story, as one of the writers of the "Star Trek" comic David Tipton described it, the Klingons will be clandestinely backing the renegade gorilla general in a coup to take over Ape City. Captain Kirk will find himself having to help Dr. Zaius' orangutans, Newsarama reported.

What you did not know: No. 3, the "Orphan Black" panel and its stars were surprised and moved to tears. The "Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany plays 13 clones onscreen, but she seemed moved by the "Clone Club" and one young lady's story. The "Clone Club," which spawned as a result of the show, now has a heavy presence on various social media platforms, Identities.Mic reported.

Maslany accepted an award from the Club for her excellent portrayal. But then something special happened. When it came time to open the floor for participants to answer questions, one young lady poured her heart and soul out to the cast, especially to Maslany.

"Before I started watching the show, I was really in the closet, and I was totally ashamed of who I was," the fan said. "I hated myself. I started watching the show and seeing [openly lesbian character] Cosima and seeing everything is not about her sexuality and that she is more than her sexuality. My parents weren't okay with me being gay. I started watching the show with my mom, and it's helped us start to rebuild our relationship."

Maslany wept. (You can see the full video here.)

No. 4, "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy director Peter Jackson, and Daniel Radcliffe star of the "Harry Potter" films toured the convention in disguise separately. Jackson roamed Comic-Con dressed as a crazy looking jester, the New York Daily News reported. And Jackson even tweeted pictures of himself walking around.

And Radcliffe walked around dressed as Spider-man in full costume, RTE reported. Radcliffe was promoting his latest film "Horns," and Jackson was at Comic-Con to promote the latest "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies." In previous Comic-Con conventions, "Doctor Who" star Matt Smith went dressed in full costume as Homer Simpson, and Bryan Cranston went oddly dressed wearing a mask that looked like him in the Emmy-winning role of "Breaking Bad."

What you did not want to know: No. 5,  Prinze Jr. was at Comic-Con promoting "Star Wars Rebels," the newest "Star Wars" animated iteration. When asked about working with Kiefer Sutherland and perhaps seeing the latest "24: Live Another Day," Prinze Jr. had no kind words to say about Sutherland.

Prinze Jr., 38, stated that the experience at that time was terrible. Prinze Jr. worked with Sutherland in 2010.

"I did '24,' it was terrible, and I hated every moment of it. ... Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world," ABC News reported. "That's not me talking trash, I'd say it to his face, I think everyone that's worked with him has said that."

Prinze Jr.'s anger toward Sutherland is not isolated. Academy-nominated and "24" guest star Shohreh Aghdashloo has voiced similar complaints about Sutherland. Aghdashloo stated that her time with Sutherland on "24" ended too quickly. She added that she had clashed with Sutherland, and she contributed their disagreements and inability to get along had a hand in her character's death at the series, Fox News reported back in June last year.

"I'm afraid working with him proved to be hard. That young man was pretty angry," Aghdashloo said about Sutherland. "At the end of the day, I thought he was angry with himself." Initially, Aghdashloo's character was supposed to survive, and then she did not. "The plot changed. I have a feeling that he did [have a role in my departure]," Aghdashloo added, Fox News reported.

However, one past guest-star actor Louis Lombardi defended Sutherland, saying his experience working "with Kiefer was absolutely the opposite. He was one of the most professional actors I've ever worked with," Us Weekly reported. "He wanted the best out of everybody. I have nothing but great experiences with him. He's a gentleman."

Since then, Sutherland, 47, released a statement through his representative, "Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze Jr. more than five years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie's grievances. Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best," Us Weekly reported.
