On Friday, while promoting his role in the film "Guardians of the Galaxy" on "Live with Kelly and Michael," Vin Diesel also opened up about his experience dealing with the death of his friend and "Fast and Furious" co-star, Paul Walker.

Walker died in a fatal car accident last year during the time of filming for the upcoming "Fast and Furious 7" movie set to release in April of next year.

Following his death, Walker's brothers stepped in to play his role for the remainder of filming.

And with the help of his brothers and the filmmakers' use of computer-generated effects, Walker's role and scenes in the move were finally able to be finished, reported The Huffington Post.

Though Walker's role in the film is complete, Diesel admitted that he continues to mourn the death of his friend who he grew up bouncing in New York with.

"I grew up in the bouncer world, and we lost people while we were bouncing. But the brotherhood in Paul Walker was something completely different," Diesel said.

"It was someone that we ... we grew up in the business together, and we became famous together, and we represented the biggest franchise together. He was my partner, and it's a strange thing to ... I've been acting all my life, and they don't teach you in acting how to mourn someone and simultaneously pretend they're in a scene with you."

So far, Diesel said that the death of Paul Walker has been, "one of the darker moments in this, in my journey."

"Yeah. Yeah guys, you know it's a rough one. You all had people you love that passed away," Diesel told the audience.

Kelly Ripa chimed in and said, "And it's not just that he passed away. It was so sudden, unexpected, tragic."
