The Dallas Cowboys have missed the NFL playoffs the last four consecutive seasons, while going 8-8 the last 3 years. Every other team in the NFC East has won the division the last three seasons.

Something's got to give.

Or does it?

Even though the Cowboys haven't won the division since 2009, expectations are always high in Dallas. The five-time Super Bowl champions are always facing huge pressure come September.

The NFL season always brings big surprises, so here are five predictions for the Dallas Cowboys this season:

1. Dez Bryant Will Lead the NFL in Receiving Yards

Bryant has been a stud since entering the league in 2010.

The last two seasons combined, he has over 2,500 yards. With Jason Witten getting older, quarterback Tony Romo will be throwing to an open Bryant more often. Bryant doesn't just get open, he also gets yards after the catch. Head coach Jason Garret is never really committed to the run, so Bryant will certainly get plenty of opportunities.

2. Cowboys Will Have the Worst Defense, Ever

Last season, the Cowboys defense was the third-worst defense in NFL history. The only two worse defensive units were the 1981 Baltimore Colts and the 2012 New Orleans Saints. The Cowboys will be without Jason Hatcher, who had a team-leading 11 sacks last season. Both Sean Lee and DeMarcus Lawrence have injuries. Longtime great defensive end DeMarcus Ware is also no longer with the team.

This might get really ugly.

3. Cowboys Will Have One of the Best Offensive Lines in Football

Despite having the worst defensive in the league, the Cowboys offense is usually reliable. Their offensive line has been improving for years, which should give Tony Romo plenty of time to throw from the pocket. This is very important because Romo is coming off back surgery. The Cowboys recently signed left tackle Tyron Smith to an eight-year deal, and rightfully so. Investing in a good front five will also improve the running game, as well.

4. Dwayne Harris Will Be a Pro Bowl Special Teams Player

Harris is by far the most underrated player on this Cowboys squad. The 26-year-old from East Carolina has been a fantastic kick and punt returner for the Cowboys since he arrived in 2011. He's not the next Deion Sanders, but he shows promise. Last season, Harris had 2,296 all purpose yards, and nearly all of it from punt and kick returns. The only thing hurting Harris' odds of making the Pro Bowl is the defense that can't force punts. Regardless, he will still do damage on kick returns.

5. Cowboys Will Finish 8-8

Even with the star-studded offense and experience, the Cowboys will finish 8-8, again. It's going to be a tough road ahead as they have to face the NFC West. They had a golden opportunity last season with the Washington Redskins and New York Giants never even bothering to show up. Last season, they were 5-1 in the division and still finished 8-8. It's very unlikely that so many things will go their way this year again. As good as Romo is, he is coming off major back surgery, and we haven't seen him in a game since.
