On Saturday, "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans took to Instagram and Twitter to debut her 5-year-old son's new haircut.

"Jace got a Mohawk!" the reality TV captioned the Instagram photo of her son.

Though Evans seemed excited to show off her son's new look, social media users immediately expressed their lack of amusement toward Jace's drastic hair transformation.

Some Instagram users made fun of the 5-year-old boy calling him "Mr. T" and "trailer trash looking," while another Instagram user described Evans' son as a "skinhead."

Reality TV reports that social media users also criticized Evans' parenting skills because of her decision to cut Jace's hair. They even compared Evans to her infamous "Teen Mom" co-star, Farrah Abraham, who also received an outpouring of social media backlash for choosing to wax her daughter's eyebrows.

"Exactly why my parents never let my brother have a Mohawk and why I'll never allow my son to have one either...straight trailer trash looking," Instagram user @mommyluxury wrote.

"Please, no...if the kid already has behavioral problems this is most definitely not a step in the right direction...No a haircut is not just a haircut. He won't be "dreaming BIG" with a haircut like that," another Instagram user @elisabeth_angel wrote.

Despite the immense controversy and criticism that has been sparked by Jace's Instagram photo, Jenelle Evans seems unbothered by the social media outrage.

On Sunday, Evans continued to post Instagram photos of her son Jace and his new hairdo and on Monday, she finally spoke out against the critics of her son's hair.

"Everyone hating on Jace's hair...U all act like hair doesn't grow back...keep going...I'm being very entertained," she tweeted on Monday.
