From the looks of a new trailer of Season 3 of "Arrow," there will be a whole lot of action for Oliver Queen in Startling City, and in his love life.

A new 90-second "Arrow" promo opens with Oliver asking Felicity Smoak out on a date while he's in the middle of less than ideal circumstances.

"Do you like Italian?" says the superhero vigilante as he races down a street on his bike.

"Oliver, you're in the middle of a high-speed chase," says Felicity, who seems taken aback.

"I'm multitasking," he replies to the tech whiz.

In another clip, Quentin Lance asks Oliver if he has a "hot date" as he is seen heading out early after finishing up some late-night crime-fighting.

Diggle also makes an appearance in the video teaser, making note that Startling City is much safer now. "There are only two types of criminals left in Startling City, the ones we put away and the ones that are running scared," says the father-to-be.

The preview ends with Oliver telling Felicity on their date that there are "still things you don't know about me." The clip then jumps to Oliver in the middle of an intense gunfight alongside Roy Harper.

"I never said I didn't know how to use a gun," he quips.

Although the romantic tension between Oliver and Felicity's will come to light in Season 3, "Arrow" executive producer Greg Berlanti promised that their relationship won't dominate the season.

"None of us like to throw stuff out there and then not deal with it in some way. It doesn't mean it occupies the story and that's all we deal with, but you want to be fair to the audience," Berlanti told The Hollywood Reporter, referring to Oliver's confession that he loves Felicity in the Season 2 finale.

According to the EP, their romance has been "something that we've been working toward and building toward since she first showed up on the show. We deal with it head-on in the premiere, but there aren't a lot of superheroes who are married. It's more that we're dealing with the finale than we are with them."

Berlanti went on to hint that fans will see a new lighter side of Oliver now that Deathstroke is out of the picture.

"There's more of that [humor] throughout," Berlanti says of referring to the change in his demeanor. "He doesn't have Slade hunting him anymore. Things are in a happy place for everybody."

However, that won't last for long since DC villain Ra's al Ghul will cast a dark shadow on Starling City starting in episode four.

"There are some great twists and turns in terms of what their dynamic is," hints Berlanti of Ra's and Oliver. "We try with the big bads to make every season feel different and for them to be reflective of what we want to put the hero through and characters through," he added.

According to Zap2It, "Riddick's" star Matt Nable has been cast to play Ra's al Ghul.

Oliver won't be the only character exploring a new love interest in the upcoming season, however. A club DJ named Chase, played "The Carrie Diaries'" Austin Butler, will catch Thea's eye. According to Movie Pilot, "their professional relationship will quickly blossom into romance".

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim also dropped some spoilers about what viewers can expect during the Season 3 premiere, which is titled "The Calm."

"Arrow's starting to win the hearts of the city," said the showrunner, reports TVLine. However, he will then face off with Ra Al Ghul, who is "not like Sebastian Blood, looking at Oliver with disdain. Oliver quite frankly just doesn't play [at] this guy's level."

"Arrow" premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
