Earlier this month, "Cinderella" producers Robyn Goodman, Jill Furman and Stephen Kocis announced that "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Nene Leaks would join the Broadway cast of "Cinderella" as the wicked stepmother beginning Nov. 25, BroadwayWorld reports.

According to BW, Leakes will be replacing the current wicked stepmother on Broadway played by the former "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd whose 11-week Broadway run is quickly coming to end.

Leakes' Broadway run will reportedly end on Jan. 3, 2015, BW reports.

Following the announcement of her debut role on Broadway, Leakes took to Twitter to relish in the news.

"Have u heard I'm headed to BROADWAY! Check it out here," Leakes tweeted on Thursday.

The following day, she tweeted a congratulatory post to her predecessor, Sherri Sherpherd, and her soon to be Broadway co-star Keke Palmer. "Congrats 2 my Broadway sisters ‪@KekePalmer ‪@SherriEShepherd on a job well done! See u soon! Sherri come help me with all these lines," she said.

Although Leakes is clearly excited about her new gig on Broadway, her "RHOA" co-star Kenya Moore is not as thrilled about the news.

During an interview with the New York Post at Betsy Johnson's NYFW show last week, Moore poked fun at Leakes' Broadway debut by claiming that Leakes' "attitude" is "perfect" for the role of the wicked stepmother.

"It's perfect casting," Moore told the New York Post. "I don't have a relationship with NeNe," Moore said Wednesday at Betsey Johnson's show at Lincoln Center's Salon. "NeNe is on an island by herself somewhere with her attitude."

Leakes later replied to Moore's comment via Twitter.

"Some people want a response but they will NEVER get it! ‪#dreamon."

So far, Moore has not responded.
