The 2014 National Football League season is flying by, and with the regular season almost a quarter of the way complete, some teams are showing signs of desperation.

On this week of "five teams who must win," we list teams who are facing an uphill battle going forward. Some of these teams have injuries, play in a tough division or just haven't played very well so far.

Last week, all five 'must-win teams' won their games.

Here are five teams who must win their Week 4 games:

1. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have successfully made it to the last three NFC Championship games. During those three seasons, the 49ers have won 11, 12 and 13 games. Unfortunately, the team is off to a 1-2 start after losses to the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals. Week 4 won't be easy as they have to face the 3-0 Philadelphia Eagles and the fast-paced Chip Kelly offense. Colin Kaepernick isn't playing like he's capable of.

If this 49ers team falls to 1-3, they can kiss the NFC West title goodbye.

2. Indianapolis Colts

After back-to-back disappointing losses, the Indianapolis Colts came alive in Week 3. They destroyed the Jacksonville Jaguars 44-17 on the road. Now 1-2, the Colts should still win the division that is the weak AFC South, but they must also try to secure a higher seed. In Week 4, they take on the Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium. Andrew Luck should be sure lock against the Titans.

It looks like the Colts will be 2-2 after four weeks of play.

3. New York Jets

After a 19-14 Week 1 win against the Oakland Raiders, the New York Jets have lost their last two games. A 1-2 start isn't terrible, but 1-3 is. The Jets will host the Detroit Lions at MetLife Stadium in Week 4, which will be no easy task. Can Rex Ryan's defense stop Calvin "Megatron" Johnson? Quarterback Geno Smith has to stop making so many red zone mistakes.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Cincinnati Bengals are looking like the best team in football at 3-0. While it's not very likely the Pittsburgh Steelers will catch the Bengals in the AFC North, they have to give them a run for their money. The Steelers have a cupcake game in Week 4 against the 0-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. The Buccaneers lost their last game to the Atlanta Falcons 56-14.

There's no excuse for the Steelers to lose this game.

5. San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers were big winners last week when they defeated the Buffalo Bills and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos in an overtime thriller. The Broncos are still favorites to win the AFC West, but this Chargers team has a great opportunity this week. The Chargers host the Jaguars, while the Broncos have a bye week.

The Chargers should be big Week 4 winners.
