When it comes to female pop stars, everyone has been talking about the upcoming Katy Perry and Lady Gaga albums, and which supposed queen of pop will rule the charts. But let's not count out Britney Spears, who has been in the game longer than either of them.

Following in both Perry and Gaga's footsteps, Spears was forced to release her latest single a day early, after a low quality version leaked yesterday morning. While the 31-year-old singer was supposed to drop her latest tune, "Work Bitch," tonight, the leak forced Spears and Co. to release the song yesterday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET on the radio and on iTunes a couple of hours later.

The same situation occurred with Perry's "Roar," which is currently No. 1 on Billoard's Hot 100, and Gaga's "Applause," which was released an entire week before it's official release date. Spears took to Twitter to let her fans know about the leak.

The dance floor-ready track has a simple command from the "Oops!...I Did It Again" singer: "You better work, bitch." The will.i.am. produced song is over four minutes long, and will presumably soon be played throughout clubs and on iPods at the gym. In a way, the song is somewhat meaningful as Spears sends a message to her fans that no matter what you want, you're going to have to work for it.

Spears's untitled eighth studio album is expected to be released at the end of this year. The pop star recently tweeted that she'll make a special announcement on Good Morning America tomorrow, which may or may not be about the album.
