Antrel Rolle believes that New York Giants teammate Prince Amukamara is showing improvements in his game this season because of marriage.

Amukamara was selected as the 19th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, but his career was slowed down by injuries in his first three seasons in the league.

This season, the 25-year-old safety looks poised to have a breakout year as he has already recorded two interceptions and has been showing maturity in his decision-making.

But while the experience he gained in his first three years in the league could be the major factor, Rolle believes that getting married is the main reason why Amukamara is improving this year.

"I think it all ties into one another, as far as him getting married, being able to [have sex]," Rolle said of Amukamara's improvement in an interview with Newark Star Ledger. "He's just developing more as a man and accepting challenges and being the dominant player that we need him to be that we know he's capable of."

Rolle added that the former Nebraska standout has been playing with more swagger this season, insisting again that Amukamara's married life is the main factor.

"There are a lot of things different about Prince. For one, he's married, so he's (enjoying some things that he wasn't experiencing before he's married). For a man, that could definitely help him out," Rolle added. "For a man, I'm just being honest, it's helping him out. He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love."

Amukamara, who is now one interception away from tying his combined INT in his first three years in the NFL, previously admitted that he was a virgin because he is a devout Christian and thus is against premarital sex.
