The Lone Star State has been looking very good so far this NFL season.

Both teams, the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys, are flying high at 3-1 and are in first place in their divisions. On Sunday, Oct. 5, football fans will watch these two teams face off.

Latin Post.com allows you the fan to vote on which team will win this highly anticipated game:

Dallas Cowboys (3-1)

The Dallas Cowboys are 3-1 mostly because of their high-powered offensive line and running back DeMarco Murray, who has been an absolute stud after four games leading the league with 534 rushing yards and five touchdowns. It's good to see head coach Jason Garrett (former NFL quarterback) finally trust his running game.

Quarterback Tony Romo is playing well so far with seven touchdowns and a 98.7 passer rating. Dez Bryant, Jason Witten and Terrance Williams have been Romo's favorite targets so far.

Losing DeMarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher hasn't had the terrible effect that many people initially thought it would. Although the Cowboys have yet to play a divisional game, they still have wins over the New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans and St. Louis Rams. The Cowboys only defeat came in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, but have rebounded by winning their last three games.

The Cowboys have the offense, and their defense isn't giving up huge plays. With Murray running the ball so effectively, the defense isn't on the field as much. The x-factor in this game is Dwayne Harris. Harris is an extremely skills special teams player, who can change a game with just one kick return.

Houston Texans (3-1)

Murray might very well be the offensive player of the year so far, but Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is playing out of his mind. Watt is able to get to the quarterback, make sure tackles and he can stop the run. Opposing offenses have no choice but to double team Watt.

Linebacker Brian Cushing has playing great, as well, but the Texans' questionable secondary will be in for a challenge. Running back Arian Foster has been battling injuries, and he is still listed as "questionable" for the game. Foster has two games in which he eclipsed the 100-yard mark this season, against the Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders.

Ryan Fitzpatrick hasn't been playing outstanding, but he's getting the job done. Fitzpatrick has just four touchdowns and four interceptions this season, but his 65.5 percentage through the air shows he's not taking too many risks.

The Texans only defeat came against the New York Giants in Week 3.

Second year wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is showing he was a great first round investment. Hopkins has a team-leading 291 receiving yards, and paired with Andre Johnson, the Cowboys' secondary will have a tough task.

Schedule, Where to Watch

The Texans and Cowboys will face off on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. EST. on CBS. The game will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas with the Cowboys having home-field advantage.

Predictions

Both the Cowboys and Texans are worthy of their 3-1 record, but something's got to give. Watt and Cushing have been playing great, but the Cowboys have the far better offense. Their offensive line can control the clock, which limit points against.

Cowboys win 27-20.
