The 75th anniversary of DC Comics' Batman is being celebrated and Comic Cons around the country, including this weekend in New York.

A few weeks ago, the United States Postal Service (USPS) released the special edition Batman postage stamps, USA Today reported.

Previous superheroes to have the same honor are The Flash, Wonder Woman, Superman and Aquaman.

The sheet of 20 Batman "Forever" stamps are currently priced at 49 cents each but will still be accepted if the price of stamps increases, thus the "Forever" tag, USPS told USA Today.

"Batman is the most popular Superhero of all time, and it is an honor to have the U.S. Postal Service feature the Caped Crusader on this new set of stamps in celebration of his 75th anniversary," DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee told USA Today. "Batman has inspired and influenced fans around the world for generations and will continue to do so for the next 75 years and beyond."

The panel on Saturday afternoon featured discussions about the various Batman movies and TV shows over the years, as well as the characters introduced in each.

This included the 1960s TV series and the 1992 debut of the first Batman cartoon.

The panel included DC chief creative officer Geoff Johns, DC co-publisher Jim Lee, once Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, artist Neal Adams, current "Batman" creative team Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. DC marketing's John Cunningham served as moderator, according to Comic Book Resources.

At New York Comic Con a panel was dedicated to the special anniversary Saturday afternoon.

During the discussion, panelists discussed their favorite villain and the 1960s Batman TV series, according to Comic Book Resources.

The entire TV series will be available on DVD for the first time on Nov. 11, for a price of $200, though Amazon is offering it for $135.

Conroy shared his idea of why Batman has resonated so well with fans over the years. He told Comic Book Resources, "He doesn't give up, no one should ever give up."
