The 2014 National Football League season has almost reached Week 7, and the trade deadline, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. EST, is quickly approaching.

There hasn't been as many trade rumors flying around as usual, but with injuries, disappointing losses and questionable roster sports, trading is a must. Here are five teams that must explore a trade before this year's deadline:

New York Giants, Wide Receiver

Sunday Night Football was terrible for the New York Giants. The team lost to their arch rival Philadelphia Eagles, 27-0. Even worse, they lost their best wide receiver Victor Cruz for the remainder of the season. The Giants fell to 3-3 overall.

So what now for the Giants? The Dallas Cowboys and Eagles lead the NFC East division and the Giants need a wide out for quarterback Eli Manning. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has been in trade rumors recently, but he comes at a high cost. Trading for Dwayne Bowe could also be an option.

San Diego Chargers, Running Back

Quarterback Philip Rivers has been playing like the league's Most Valuable Player so far, no thanks to his running backs. Danny Woodhead will miss the entire season and Ryan Mathews is still resting an MCL sprain.

Rookie running back Branden Oliver has done a good job, but more is needed. The San Diego Chargers have just three rushing touchdowns this entire season. The Minnesota Vikings won't be releasing Adrian Peterson, but the Chargers would have to give up a lot to get him. Trading for Arian Foster could be beneficial for both the Houston Texans and Chargers.

New York Jets, Offense

Geno Smith hasn't lived up to his reputation so far in the NFL, but in all fairness, he hasn't has many weapons to use. The Jets have terrible receiving corps and rookie Jace Amaro is their best tight end with just one touchdown.

It's time for Jets general manager John Idzik to finally start spending some money on this offense. Rex Ryan isn't the best offensive coach, but with these players, he is very limited.

Houston Texans, Quarterback

This Houston Texans team has a lot of talent on it, with Andre Johnson, Brian Cushing, J.J. Watt and many other players. Unfortunately, they don't have a solid quarterback. In the 2014 NFL Draft, they didn't select a quarterback until the fourth round when they drafted Tom Savage, hardly a franchise pick.

With Brian Hoyer playing great for the Cleveland Browns, could Johnny Manziel be heading to Houston? Both teams could win in this potential trade. Why should the Browns keep Manziel around when Hoyer is playing great anyway?

Denver Broncos, Running Back

The Broncos' leading rusher from last season, Knowshon Moreno, is now with the Miami Dolphins, and the Broncos aren't running the ball very effectively. Anytime you have Peyton Manning as your quarterback, you have a chance, but adding a veteran rusher would help.

Free agent running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis has been drawing a lot of interest from teams lately, so the Broncos may want to consider signing him. Montee Ball is averaging just 3.1 yards per carry this season so far.
