Elizabeth Gutierrez may have taken a break from acting to take care of her children, but she may be heading back to Mexico soon for another telenovela.

The actress, who is currently working on the "Brujas" play, recently took a quick trip to Mexico, where she was rumored to be meeting with producers for her next project.

According to TV Notas, Gutierrez said she was in the process of meeting with people and was offered many different jobs, but she didn't know what she was going to do yet.

The actress did speak about one particular role that she may take on. Gutierrez may play the villain in the upcoming "Que te Perdone Dios," which will star Zuria Vega and Mark Tacher.

"I think that the villains enjoys themselves more because you do everything you can't do in real life," she said. "It's a good character, and I am excited."

This wouldn't be her first time playing a villain, however. She was also the antagonist in "Corazón Salvaje," which was the last time she worked on a Mexican soap opera. The telenovela was filmed four years ago.

But, as Gutierrez was quick to remind, nothing is set in stone.

"I still have no idea what I am going to do because work is work, and family is always priority," she said. "So we'll have to see how we can make it work."

On Thursday, the actress was already heading back home to Miami.

Gutierrez recently opened up about why she took a break from her career after the birth of her children. The mother of two said that, for her, it was important to stay home and be with her children. She also said that she didn't feel she was sacrificing her career.

"I definitely felt it was very important because they are little," she said. "That age is the most important, so I wanted to be with them and let them know that their mom will be there whether she works or not. But she's always be present, and I wanted to plan that in their heads."
