Nike Release Dates 2014: Delayed LeBron 12 Shoes Finally Hitting Shelves, ‘Dunk Force’ to Arrive Soon

Nike announced the new release dates of the new colorways of LeBron 12 after the original worldwide launch was cancelled due to cosmetic issues.

In a statement, Nike announced that LeBron 12 "Dunk Force" will finally hit the market on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in select stores worldwide. This edition, which is listed as the Wolf Grey/Reflect Silver-Black-Electric Green colorway of the shoe, will be available for $200 per pair for men's sizes and $160 for gradeschool sizes.

This edition features a grey-based upper part combined with black and electric green hints, and finished off with a translucent blue outsole. According to Nike, this edition was inspired by LeBron James' signature tomahawk dunks in the NBA and the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar's unique skill set.

"The latest colorway of the LeBron 12 is inspired by the power of James's statement tomahawk dunk and equated to the speed and force of a helicopter rotor blade," Nike wrote. "LeBron James showcases an extraordinary blend of strength, court vision, efficiency and explosive speed while competing at basketball's highest level. His rare skill set requires innovative footwear tailored to the specifications of his multidimensional game."

The LeBron 12 "NSRL" edition, which was supposed to be the first colorway to hit the market last month, will now be released on Dec. 1 in select Nike stores worldwide for $200 per pair.

This edition, which is officially listed as the Hyper Turquoise/Black-Metallic Cool Grey-Hyper Crimson colorway of James' latest signature shoe, was originally scheduled for release Oct. 1 in China and Oct. 11 worldwide.

However, Nike decided to delay the release date because of "cosmetic issues," pointing out that the quality of their products is their main priority, which led to their decision to delay the release.

The company did not give detailed information about the cosmetic issue, but ESPN sources said that it has something to do with James decision to change his jersey number from 6 to 23 after returning to the Cavaliers.
