A teaser for the latest chapter of the dinosaur series, "Jurassic World," was released online Monday. The short clip is meant to whet fans' appetite for the full-length trailer, due to debut during football games on Thanksgiving Day.

According to Time, the fourth installment of the franchise, originally directed by Steven Spielberg, is scheduled to be released June 12, 2015.

The teaser showed fans a little of what to expect. Isla Nublar, where John Hammond's idea to resurrect long-extinct dinosaurs went horribly awry back in the first film in 1993, was intended to be a theme park where humans could interact with the ancient creatures. However, now the park has been rebranded to Jurassic World and has expanded to an even larger dinotropolis. Patrons of the park are seen roaming through herds of ostrich-like dinosaurs on unique off-roading vehicles.

Director Colin Trevorrow, who co-wrote the movie with his "Safety Not Guaranteed" partner Derek Connolly, gave glimpses of Spielberg's original film to remind fans of the basis of what went on with the dinosaurs.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt holds the lead role in the film as one of the park's employees.

Jurassic World, with its expanded area, needs large tourist revenue to stay afloat. However, in the clip, something unforeseen happens and a coworker, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, throws Pratt's character a concerned look from the bank of computers in a control room.

While it isn't much to go on, fans have been salivating over any information they can get their hands on before the film's release next year.

At Comic Con in San Diego this year, artwork for "Jurassic World" posters were handed out to a select number of festivalgoers, and crowds went wild, clamoring to get the limited edition merchandise.
