Black Friday 2014: Best 40-Inch, 50-Inch, 60-Inch TV Deals Under $500

The countdown is underway -- Black Friday 2014 sales are less than a week away. Consumers are on the hunt for the best deals on HDTVs across retail chain stores.

Target's Black Friday ad has touted an incredible deal: a 40-inch 1080p Element LED/LCD TV for just $119, reports Consumer Reports. That is less than the price of many 8-inch tablets! Target is selling the 40-inch TV online and in stores as a doorbuster special.

Here are more Black Friday HDTV deals from Target:

39-inch Vizio 60Hz 720p LED/LCD TV (model D390-B0) for $220
48-inch Westinghouse 60Hz 1080p LED/LCD (model DWM48F1G1) for $235 (a special online-only purchase)
55-inch Westinghouse 60Hz 1080p LED/LCD, model DWM55F1G1, for $395

The impressive sales prices are on secondary TV brands with the exception of the Vizio.

Target partnered with Samsung to establish special deals for television sets over the Black Friday weekend, including:

32-inch Samsung LED/LCD TV, model UN32EH4003, priced at $198 (in store and online)
40-inch Samsung 1080p LED/LCD TV, model UN40H5203, a smart TV, priced at $328, (limited quantities in store)
50-inch Samsung 60Hz 1080p TV, model UN50EH5000FXZA, priced at $478 (online and in store)
60-inch 120Hz 1080p smart TV from Samsung, model UN60H6203, priced at $798 (limited quantities in store)

Target's TV bargains grabbed the attention of Wal-Mart executives who announced they would match, or beat, competitors' prices, according to Consumer Reports. Wal-Mart said it would match Target's $119 sale on the 40-inch TV, but has not yet named which brand.

Wal-Mart-never allowing a competitor to outshine its deals-has the best price on a 60-inch 120 HZ 1080p Element LED/LCD TV at price of $498. Wal-Mart is offering this deal online now and on Black Friday.
