"NCIS" actor Sean Murray recently expressed his desire to star in a "Hocus Pocus" sequel movie.

"If they wanted me to be involved with it in some sort of way, I would probably say yes," Murray told E! News. "'Hocus Pocus' has a great following and was a great part of when I was a kid."

Disney's "Hocus Pocus" premiered in 1993 starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters, a trio of witches who are resurrected by a teenager, played by Omri Katz, his younger sister and his crush.

Since its premiere in 1993, "Hocus Pocus" has continued to air on Halloween and has become a Halloween classic, Murray explained.

"It's popular," Murray continued. "I have kids come to me, and their parents grew up on it and now their kids grow up on it. It's like a cult favorite."

Murray also acknowledged Midler's acting abilities in the film, noting he felt she was "amazing in it."

Murray's recent revelation regarding "Hocus Pocus 2" follows Midler's Reddit AMA last month where she revealed that she, Parker and Najimy are all "willing to do" a sequel to the Halloween classic.

"Inundate the Disney company, because I have canvassed the girls and they are wiling to do it, but we have no say in it, so if you want a HOCUS POCUS 2, ask the Walt Disney company," Midler wrote. "You have been SO adorable. This has been most enlightening. SISTAHS!" Everybody's in, guys! ... You have to go to send in your cards to the Walt Disney company. The ball's in their court."

Following Midler's Reddit revelation, fans thanked the Tony Award-winning actress for her enthusiasm to star in the sequel.

So far, Disney has yet to address the creation of a "Hocus Pocus" sequel.
