Known to Eminem fans since she was a tot, Eminem's daughter Hailie Scott grabbed headlines anew when she was crowned homecoming queen in her Michigan school Friday, reports ABC News.

The 17-year-old blonde , the only daughter of the rap star, was escorted by her mother Kimberly Scott, who figured prominently in Eminem's early songs.  Hailie Scott was reportedly voted as homecoming queen for Chippewa Valley High School not because she was an A-lister's daughter, but because of her very own popularity. Described to be 'smart, athletic and caring,' Hailie seems to be an A-lister herself in her high school. She was crowned alongside Tyler Knepp, the homecoming king who describes himself as a nerd. According to local publication The Macomb Daily, Eminem quietly watched Hailie get crowned from a classroom, careful not to disturb the event by showing himself to the crowd. One parent shared that Eminem, "didn't want to cause a scene - he wanted Hailie to have her own moment."

Born Marshall Mathers, Eminem was raised in Macomb County and is known for his devotion to his daughter, reports The Inquisitr.  One of the popular tracks about the 40-year-old's daughter is "Hailie's Song," which Eminem released in 2002. The track contains lyrics that read: "But when I see my baby/Suddenly I'm not crazy/It all makes sense when I look into her eyes; My baby girl [Hailie laughs] keeps gettin' older/I watch her grow up with pride."

Hailie's crowning only proves that the teenager is truly her father's pride, as she's growing up to be a responsible young woman, without the glare of the spotlight marring her character. One Chippewa Valley resident said, "I think all of the kids in the district have shown respect to their family and just let her live a normal life here out of the spotlight; I think that speaks very highly of the Chippewa Valley community to not try to take advantage of their fame," reports  The Inquisitr.
