Chelsea Handler has been known to push the envelope in her comedy specials and her late night talk show "Chelsea Lately," as well as in her daily life. This week, Handler went topless on a cold mountaintop, and shared images on both Instagram and Twitter accounts

Handler might not have her talk show anymore, but she is still making headlines. She is also butting heads with social media platforms. Instagram ended up taking down the photo.

In Handler's latest topless image, her backdrop was a snow-capped mountain. Handler, 39, was dressed in cold weather gear from head to toe. The comedienne showed her breasts while standing on a snowy mountaintop looking off into the distance.

According to E! News, Handler captioned the Instagram photo: "I lost chunk on the mountain."

Chunk is Handler's beloved dog. In the background, there is a helicopter and her friends are standing around oblivious to Handler's bare chest, E! Online reported.

Soon after it was posted, Instagram removed the photo from their site. Handler responded by posting another topless image onto Twitter.

"Finding chunk. Instagram had him!" Handler said about the second image.

This is not the first time that Handler has pushed the boundaries on Instagram.

Over the summer, Handler mocked a photo of the Russian president. In Vladimir Putin's photo, he is riding on a horse shirtless, showing off his muscles. Handler recreated that photo by posting a similar one: she was riding a horse, wearing a riding hat, and she was also topless, New York Daily News reported. Handler bared her breasts once again on Instagram.

Handler added the caption to the viral photo Instagram picture: "Anything a man can do, a woman has the right to do better. #kremlin." But within the time of its posting and it going viral, Instagram removed it, New York Daily News reported. Instagram cited its community guidelines against nudity.

At the time, Handler was irate at the removal. She posted a reply on her Instagram page: "If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it's ok, but not a woman? Are we in 1825?" New York Daily News reported.

Handler then reposted the Putin inspired photo on her Twitter page with the caption: "Taking this down is sexist. I have every right to show I have a better body than Putin."

However, Handler re-posted the picture once more on her Instagram page, and she even dared the company to violate her First Amendment rights.
