One of the most dreaded aspects of the Super Smash Bros series is the fact you can not only succumb to death at the hands of your adversaries, but you can also meet an untimely demise by falling off the map. This can happen while battling your foes or even accidentally in the heat of battle.

Luckily, there are ways for you to recover from such potentially dangerous falls. While you can grab onto the edge of platforms to keep yourself from completely falling off them, enemies can still knock you off so you drop to your death. However, by mastering the art of recovering from such experiences, you can get back into the fight quicker and easier, avoiding such unfortunate deaths in the process.

What follows is a roundup of Super Smash Bros Wii U recovery tips for the game's Mario characters. This includes Mario, Dr. Mario and Luigi. While these characters play similarly to an extent, the methods you need to employ to recover with each of these fighters differs from one to the next.

Recovering with Mario - If you're far from a platform's ledge, you can perform Side+B and Down+B to get an extra boost that will help you get back on that surface.

Recovering with Dr. Mario - Jump, press, Up+B and then tap three times as fast as possible, which should increase the height of your jump significantly if performed correctly.

Recovering with Luigi - Luigi's recover is similar to Dr. Mario's, but his is even better due to his natural ability for high jumps that dates back to Super Mario 2.
