Pablo Montero's character, Diego Lascurain, was dangerously close to dying on "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo." Although he survived, Diego has not been on the series after being sent off to get better medical care.

A Mexican radio station states that Montero and his character Diego may be making a return to the hit telenovela, according to TV Notas. Montero went through some issues on the show because he did not show up to shoot.

The show is nearing its end, with producer Juan Osorio already giving out hints about the March finale.

Osorio did tease "surprises" for the last episode, so perhaps Montero's return is among the possibilities.

"Many surprises are coming," he said, according to Diario Basta. "We're going to Huatulco, which is the discovery of the couple. Last night I didn't sleep. I was up until five in the morning with my team of writers working. We want to shock people. There's a big surprise that people don't expect for the finale."

Another interesting part of the finale is that the audience will be able to have some sort of participation. The producer didn't elaborate on what the audience participation would look like.

Before being written out, Diego was fighting for main character Ana's love. He and his brother, Fernando, had both fallen for her, just as they had both fallen for Fernando's wife, Fanny, previously.

One of his last episodes showed him driving his motorcycle while under the influence. After seeing Ana and Fernando together, he is upset and drives away. He gets into an accident and is in critical condition. He survives, but he is told he may never be able to use his hand again.

His story seemed to wrap up when he was sent overseas to work with a specialist.
