When Mortal Kombat first came out in the '90s there were no joysticks or 3-D movements. The controllers used a D-pad, and all you could do was pretty much go up, down, left or right. PDP, a maker of peripherals, probably wants gamers to receive a full Mortal Kombat experience with an original controller like the ones from the '90s which could be why they are bringing out a custom controller for Mortal Kombat X.

According to PlayStationLifeStyle.net, The controller gets rid of all joysticks and features only a D-pad. There is a bigger space between the buttons and the D-pad, perhaps giving gamers more room to mash during intense fights.

This controller was previewed at CES 2015 and will work for both PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The price should be around $35-50.

Gamers excited to play Mortal Kombat X on their PCs will be in luck as they will be able to pre-order the game for $44.99 through Greenman Gaming (GMG), Destructoid reports. According to Dealzon, you will need to register on GreenManGaming.com.

Meanwhile, MTV News is giving fans an exclusive early look at the first issue of the Mortal Kombat X comic book. Many of the fighters from the game make it into the comic book as well. Keep in mind there is a warning about graphic content and violence on the page. Gamers can look at the comic and see if they can find any hidden characters that may or may not make it into the actual game, which will be released in mid-April.
