Sony will release their latest video game console, PlayStation 4, on Nov. 15. Many excited gamers have already pre-ordered the system, which was originally supposed to come bundled with Watch Dog and DriveClub. When these games' release date was delayed, Target canceled all pre-orders on the PS4. Now, however, Target has changed its mind.

Earlier, Target notified gamers who pre-ordered the PS4 bundled with Watch Dogs that they cancelled their orders. According to Polygon, who cited a Reddit user, Target's customer service said that customers could make new pre-orders starting on Oct. 25.

"The release date for the video games Watch Dogs, DriveClub, The Order: 1886, and inFamous: Second Son has been delayed. As a result, Target cancelled pre-orders for Sony Playstation 4 consoles that were going to be bundled with these titles," Target said.

The announcement was especially confusing because neither the release of Infamous: Second Son nor The Order: 1886 has been delayed. In fact, according to Kotaku, Infamous: Second Son is not to be released until 2014 and The Order: 1886 never received an official release date. Still, it appeared that Target planned to include these games with the PS4.

Now, Target is apologizing for how it handled the situation. The follow e-mail was sent to gamers:

"We apologize for your recent Target.com experience. We are working on a solution that will ensure you receive the video game console you pre-ordered. Unfortunately, we will not be able to fulfill the bundled video game portion of your order due to publishing delays. You will receive an email tomorrow with further directions on how to confirm your order. We are committed to shipping your game console by the date on your original order. Additionally, we are emailing you a $100 Target eGiftCard for your inconvenience," the e-mail said.

Those who ordered the PS4 bundled with Watch Dogs from Amazon are also getting their system with a price drop from $459 to $399.

"For those of you who pre-order the Watch Dogs PlayStation 4 bundle - don't worry - you will still be getting your Playstation 4 (without Watch Dogs) based on your current delivery estimate," Amazon said. "We are adjusting the orders now and will update you once we know more."

Meanwhile, GameStop is giving PS4 buyers a couple of different options.

"With the news that Ubisoft has delayed the release of the highly-anticipated title Watch Dogs until next year, GameStop is contacting customers who had reserved PlayStation 4 and Xbox One bundles featuring the game," GameStop said in a statement to Polygon. "Customers can elect to keep their current bundle orders and their consoles will ship as scheduled with the game shipping separately once it is available, or customers can choose another bundle to replace their current order. Customers should also note that there may be a difference in the price if selecting another bundle and that all reserved orders will be charged upon shipment."

The PS4 will be available in stores in North America for $399.99 on Nov. 15.
