Yesterday, a photo of actress Lindsay Lohan reaching for a bottle of wine surfaced, sparking allegations that the troubled star had relapsed. According to one of her representatives and her father, however, the photo was misleading, and Lohan is doing well.

The photo of Lindsay appears to show her reaching for bottle of wine on the table next to her, but one source told TMZ that the photo was purposefully taken from a certain angle to create the illusion. The source said that Lindsay was actually reaching for her purse, which visibly lays next to the wine bottle, and her cell phone. Apparently, the wine belonged to Lindsay's friend.

In August, Lindsay completed a 90-day stay in a Malibu, Calif. rehab center. One of Lindsay's representatives allegedly spoke out, saying that Lohan "continues to succeed in her recovery," Starpulse reports.

"The photo does not show Lindsay consuming any alcohol and could easily be misleading as her purse is also in the photo, despite what the photos show," the source is reported as saying.

Michael Lohan, Lindsay's father, also spoke out about the incident. According to the father, Lindsay relapsing with a glass of wine is both ludicrous and out of character.

"Oh my God. The story is ridiculous," Michael told Radar Online. "First of all, I've never known Lindsay to ever, ever, ever have a glass of wine."

The father of the 27-year-old Mean Girls star also said that Lindsay has been sober ever since leaving rehab.

"I've seen and speak to Lindsay constantly, and every time I do, she is of clear mind and by no means do I have any suspicion of her relapsing in any way," he said.

TMZ reported that Lohan fired the sober coach that was staying with her in New York. The gossip site said Lohan made the decision because she was confident she could handle sobriety on her own. According to Michael, Lindsay is still working with a life coach to keep her sober.

"She has her life coach, AJ, with her, and that's the same thing as a sober coach," Michael said. "Her sober coach from Cliffside lives in L.A., so they aren't living with her in New York City anymore."
